Richard John Cespiva

Richard John Cespiva, 91, died at 4:35 AM Saturday, April 13, 2013 in a Lake Charles Care Facility.
Mr. Cespiva was born September 9, 1921 in Ottawa, Ohio and resided in Alexandria for over fifty years. He was co-owner of C & H Glass Company from 1960-1978.
Mr. Cespiva served in the Pacific Theatre with the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He served as President and Commander of the 40 and 8, American Legion Home in Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Blanche, the mother of his sons, his second wife Neva and his son William Cespiva.
He is survived by his son Richard Wayne Cespiva and his wife Donna of Lake Charles; a brother Robert Cespiva of Pineville; three grandchildren, Brent Cespiva, Scott Cespiva, and Ashley Martin. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Cespiva will be from 10:00 AM to Noon on Friday, April 19 at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, 701 Jackson St. in Alexandria. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Friday at Czech National Cemetery in Kolin. Local arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
